In 1988, a handful of idealists led by Prof. Dr. Henrique Walter Pinotti then Head Professor of Digestive Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo founded an prestigious organization that today all know, which is the BRAZILIAN COLLEGE OF DIGESTIVE SURGERY CBCD. These selfless whose naes can be seen in Figure 1, are or were university professors committed to the teaching of General Surgery and Digestive Surgery all over Brazil.
